
The heart embodies the love of God that indwells our Church and all its members. The large red-colored tear drop completes the heart, reflecting the need for us to love God and our fellowman.
The cross that is accentuated by the flame symbolizes the ardent and fiery Christian faith which has Jesus Christ in its center. The open hand is the sign of each member's steadfast resolve to reach out to the less fortunate and the needy, to do righteous and holy deeds, and to act as Christians in the truest sense of the word. The three yellow rays in between the fingers on the open palm stands for the distinguishing traits of our church: self-governing, self-sustaining and self-propagating in carrying out its work of spreading the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The illusion of the dove epitomizes the Holy Spirit's guidance, teachings and empowerment in regards to the works and activities of the church.
The open Bible shows that the doctrines of our Church are based on the Holy Scriptures. The emblem of the 100th or centennial celebration of IEMELIF is the sign of a strong and independent church that is serving the Lord as well as carrying out its duties and obligations to our fellowmen and our country.
The blue and red wave, together with the sun, symbolizes our love of country.
